Hi there! My name is Daniel D. Purjes, and I’m a nature and urban photographer. When I was still residing in New York City, I took pictures of the street life and all the stories that came with it. I moved to Vermont to pursue nature photography. While taking pictures in New York taught me how to interact with my subjects, the job is different here in Vermont as it teaches me to be serene in the midst of nature so I can get the best shots.

Photography isn’t the first art medium I fell in love with. I remember wanting to pursue painting and digital arts, as I took delight in drawing what I saw when I was a kid. Having a formal training in photography is great, but it’s the passion for drawing that would always make an impact. I learned depth of field, composition, and perspective in watching artists draw. This encouraged me to do what I can and improve as I go.

Contrary to common thinking, a DSLR camera isn’t the best asset to have, it’s your skill in capturing moments that make you a great photographer. Considering a photography kit an investment would be a better perspective.
