About

Hi! Daniel D. Purjes here. Soon as I graduated from college, I moved to Vermont to pursue photography. Growing up in New York City taught me to pause and see the people around me and know their stories through urban photography. The first time I held a DSLR camera in my hands gave me shivers. Starting a photography career was everything I’ve ever dreamed of.

A DSLR camera isn’t the best asset of photographers, but their skill in capturing moments. To consider a photography kit an investment is a better way of putting it.

While taking photos in New York taught me how to interact with my subjects, here in Vermont photography teaches me to be calm in the midst of nature to get the best shots. The state offers wonderful landscapes like parks, lakes, rivers, and mountains to marvel at, giving visitors and locals a refreshed appreciation for nature. As a photographer, I have both a job and a passion to share to the world what I see and interpret this through photos.
